Featured Artist, Miles Glynn: February – March 2020
Miles Glynn is a mixed media artist who lives and works in Belgrade, Montana. He grew up the son of a U.S. Army photojournalist and this experience instilled in him an appreciation for creating striking images that tell compelling stories. To that tend, Glynn has created a varied body of contemporary artwork which is represented by art galleries throughout the United States and is in private collections throughout the country as well as Europe.
In Wallflower Series, Glynn creates photographic art which captures the settings and animals that embody the evocative spirit of the American West. Once captured, images are brought into the digital work environment to undergo a unique blend of treatment and processing. The resulting images, distinctive in style, offer a compelling account of the West as it now stands and what once stood. The show at the Belgrade Library will showcase several Wallflower works.
Artist Reception and Demonstration of Technique: Saturday, February 29 from 10:00-11:30AM.
