Programs

Programs

Belgrade Community Library offers programs of interest to children and adults. Attendance at all programs is free and open to the public.

Programs are conducted by Library staff and by talented volunteers from the community. If your organization wishes to sponsor a program, please contact the Library Director, Gale Bacon.

Regular and On-Going Programs

Art Displays — The Belgrade Library uses the open space on the walls in both the main library and the children’s room to display the works of local artists. The displays generally change every two months.

Children’s Programs

Babies Into Books is Thursday at 11:15 a.m. — Bring your little one, ages birth to 36 months. Program includes songs, rhymes, finger plays, and stories.

Pre-school Story Time is Friday at 11:05 am. — Ages 3 – 6 will enjoy stories, songs, and guest storytellers.

R.E.A.D. to A Dog is the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of the month at 11:15 a.m. — Young readers and their families are welcome to come and join the Reading Education Assistance Dog team, Val Bickwermert and her golden retriever, Zamba, a registered therapy animal.

The Summer Reading Program operates during the summer vacation on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m.

Young Adult Programs

Teen Book Club. The Teen book club meets from 4:00 – 5:00 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Belgrade Community Library Meeting Room.

Adult Programs

Book Club. The book club meets at 6:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month from January – October in the Belgrade Community Library Meeting Room.

Mystery Book Club. The Mystery book club meets at 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month from January – October in the Belgrade Community Library Meeting Room.

Everybody is welcome to attend either club. Book discussion, opinion sharing, refreshments, and lots of fun.
